  Bharathidasan University (BDU) is a recognized university situated in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India, and is located on Tiruchirappalli-Pudukkottai National Highway 336. It is supported by the University Grants Commission of India and offers programs in a wide range of disciplines, including science and arts. The Bharathidasan University Online Education is organized into four faculties, sixteen schools, thirty-seven departments, and twenty-nine specialized research centers. Originally, the University's primary campus was situated on a vast expanse of more than 1000 acres in Palkalaiperur. However, over time, the South Campus at Palkalaiperur, with its existing infrastructure, was gifted to the newly established Anna University of Technology.
